How To Get Here

BY CAR:

From Glasgow it is about 3 hours to Campbeltown. The most direct route is by the A82 to Tarbet on Loch Lomond, then the A83 via Inveraray and Lochgilphead.

BY BUS:

From Glasgow there is a regular three times daily bus service on very comfortable coaches. Travel time 4+ hours.

BY CAR AND FERRY:

From Ardrossan, Ayrshire you can catch the ferry to Brodick, Isle of Arran (50 min) and leave from the other side of the island at Lochranza on the seasonal ferry to Claonaig, North Kintyre (30 min). The ferry from Ardrossan should be booked in advance.
Ardrossen to Campbeltown Ferry operates from 1st May 2014 to 28th September 2014 inclusive, see the Calmac website for further information.

Try the Portavadie- Tarbert ferry, which just takes 20 minutes across Loch Fyne. A fast seasonal Passenger only ferry service operates from Campbeltown to N. Ireland and/or Troon.

Yacht berthing pontoons are available in Campbeltown harbour and there are many sheltered anchorages round the coast. Distances in nautical miles from - Inverkip - 48, Troon - 33, Largs - 36.Portpatrick - 33. Bangor (N.I.) - 30.
