Carradale Village, Kintyre

The pretty fishing village of Carradale with its harbour, golf course and views to Arran is an area of immense natural beauty and provides an ideal base for exploring the peninsula and surrounding islands.

A network of waymarked trails and cycle routes allow for the exploration of the many coastal, forest and river paths. This is a unique haven for wildlife including golden eagles, otters, three species of deer, wild goats and seals off the mile long sandy beach.

At Carradale Point there is an Iron Age vitrified fort (vitrified means the walls have been on fire).

Carradale offers a variety of accommodation, places to eat, drink and relax. Shops include a post office. Bikes and golf clubs may be hired and fishing permits purchased.
