Further along the Carradale road is Peninver, a small Village 5 miles from Campbeltown. There is a safe, sandy beach with fantastic views of seals, porpoise and dolphins.

The Dun at Kildonan is the best preserved and most interesting Dun in Kintyre, remains include a paved entrance, double wall and twin staircase. The earliest occupation dates from the 2nd Century to the 14th Century and many of the finds can be seen in Campbeltown Museum.
