The Kintyre Way | Tarbert To Claonaig
From Tarbert Castle To Skipness Castle
Starting at the side of Tarbert Harbour, and climbing up the steps to Tarbert Castle, the Kintyre Way walk commences in historic style. From the castle heading up the hills behind Tarbert you reach various fantastic viewpoints in which to see Loch Fyne at it's best both north and south.
At the half way point is a place for you to picnic with benches and views northwards along Loch Fyne.
Following a short break you continue along forestry track along to the hill above Skipness with views across to Arran and south along the Kilbrannan Sound before heading gently down to sea level where you can take time to explore Skipness Castle close by, or walk south to Claonaig where the ferry connects Kintyre to Arran.
